Effective date: July 28, 2026
StreamWave Radio ("the app") is developed and published by Keith Dragon ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use the app, and how it is handled.
The short version: StreamWave Radio has no user accounts and we do not collect, store, or sell any personal information ourselves. Your favorites, playlists, and listening history stay on your device. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, which collects certain data described below.
The free version of the app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may collect:
This data is collected by and shared with Google under Google's own policies, for the purposes of advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. We do not receive or store this data. For details, see:
Your choices: You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalization, in your device's settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads.
When you play a radio station, your device connects directly to that station's streaming server, which is operated by a third-party broadcaster. Like any internet connection, the broadcaster's server can see your IP address. We do not operate these servers and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
The app's station directory, curated playlists, and related catalog content are delivered from our backend servers. When the app fetches this content, your IP address is processed transiently as a technical necessity of the connection, like any web request. We do not log, store, or link this information to you.
If you choose to use the local music player, the app requests permission to read audio files on your device (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO). This permission is used solely to find and play your music. Scanning happens entirely on your device, and no information about your files leaves it. You can decline this permission and still use all radio features.
The app's export feature creates a backup file of your favorites, playlists, and presets. This file is saved only to the location you choose on your device. It is never sent to us or any third party.
If you cast audio to a Chromecast device or use the app through Android Auto, playback is handled by Google's frameworks on your own devices. Google's terms and privacy policy apply to those services.
Because we do not collect your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. All app data on your device can be removed at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Data collected by Google AdMob is subject to Google's retention policies; you can manage it through your device's ad settings and your Google account.
StreamWave Radio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
All connections between the app and its content servers, and between the app and Google's advertising services, use HTTPS encryption.
If we change this policy — for example, if a future version of the app adds features that involve new data practices — we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
